📖 About the Programme

What is A-Level & Who is it For?

A-Levels (Advanced Level) are the most important qualifications for university entry in the UK and internationally. Taken at ages 16–18, A-Level grades directly determine which universities and courses students can access. Getting the right grades is critical — and our expert tutors are here to help.

🎓
Who Takes A-Level?
Students aged 16–18 (Year 12–13 / Lower & Upper Sixth). Typically studied over 2 years — AS Level in Year 12, A2 Level in Year 13. Essential for UK, UAE, and Gulf university applications.
📋
Grading & UCAS Points
A-Levels are graded A*–E. Each grade earns UCAS points: A*=56, A=48, B=40, C=32. Top universities like Oxbridge, Imperial and UCL require A*AA or AAA minimum — making every grade critical.
🏛️
University Gateway
A-Level grades determine which universities accept you. Russell Group universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE) require top A-Level grades. A-Levels are also recognised by UAE, KSA and Gulf universities.
📅
Exam Structure
A-Levels have AS exams in Year 12 and A2 (full A-Level) exams in Year 13. Most UK boards hold exams in May/June. Cambridge International AS/A has an October/November session too — popular in Gulf.

❓ Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents and students need to know about our A-Level online tutoring service.

Which A-Level boards do your tutors cover?
We cover all three major A-Level boards: Cambridge International AS/A Level (CAIE), Edexcel A-Level (Pearson) and AQA A-Level. When booking, simply tell us your board and subject code — e.g. Cambridge 9702 Physics or AQA Maths — and we will match you with a tutor who specialises in exactly that board and syllabus.
Can tutors help with university applications and UCAS?
Yes — our tutors are experienced in advising students on the grade requirements for their target universities. While we don't write UCAS personal statements, we help students understand what grades they need, track their progress against those targets and ensure their predicted grades reflect their capability. Many of our students have secured offers from Russell Group universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and LSE.
How many sessions per week do you recommend for A-Level?
Due to the difficulty of A-Level content, we recommend 1–2 sessions per week throughout the year and 2–3 sessions per week in the 6–8 weeks before exams. Each session is 60 or 90 minutes. Students studying 3 A-Level subjects often have a tutor for each subject. We can help coordinate across multiple subjects if needed.
Do you help with A-Level coursework and practicals?
Yes — we provide guidance on A-Level coursework including science practical reports, Economics data response tasks, English Literature coursework and Business Studies case study projects. We do not write coursework for students but provide structured guidance on how to plan, structure and write their own coursework to the highest standard.
Are sessions available for Gulf students taking Cambridge A-Levels?
Absolutely — Cambridge International A-Level is extremely popular in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman, and we have extensive experience tutoring Gulf-based students. Sessions are fully online across all Gulf time zones. Our tutors know the Cambridge International syllabi (9702, 9701, 9709 etc.) inside out and specifically prepare students for the Cambridge exam style and mark schemes.
Is the trial session really free with no commitment?
100% free — no credit card, no commitment required. Your 30-minute trial session is a genuine lesson where your tutor will assess your current level, review your syllabus and create a personalised revision plan. You only pay if you decide to continue. Most students who take the trial choose to continue because they see immediate value from the very first session.
